Name our Baby!

Suggestions anyone?  We are thinking possibly Samuel (Sam)... but we need a middle name.  Scott has been put on middle name duty since I picked Sam, but we are still having a hard time coming up with anything we love.  Any help?

20 down, 20 to go!

As of yesterday, we are officially half way done with this pregnancy... time flies! Yesterday marked 20 weeks... so I am about to enter month 5!!! I'm starting to grow faster too... as I can now no longer fit into any pre-pregancy pants. The stretchy pants are pretty comfy though :) so I guess I shouldn't complain. Now if I could only find a comfortable way to sleep, I'd be set! Let's hope the second 20 go as well as the first!

I really thought that once we knew if we were having a boy or a girl it would be easier... I could pick out nursery stuff, we could decide on a name, all that good stuff. Turns out, its still very overwhelming. I've spent the last few days shopping, and it seems (not surprisingly) that I have NO IDEA how to buy baby stuff. I did finally decide on crib bedding, but that's as far as I've gotten. Too many choices for an indecisive couple! Plus, Scott and I are having a hard time agreeing on names! Big decision... Hopefully we'll get there soon! Wish us luck...

Oh yes, and per my sister... I was wrong about the 3d ultrasound. Turns out the first 2 are 4d and the last one is the normal one. Told you I couldn't read those!

Pictures

Ok, so I am going to make an effort here, but it turns out I can tell a lot less about these pictures without the nice ultrasound technician pointing to what's what! The important part is, she said he is healthy and developing as he should!

This first picture is a profile of his face and chest. You can see his little hand up under his chin. She had a hard time getting him to stay still enough so she could get good pictures! I guess we can blame that on all the sweet tea I had for lunch (my attempt to get him to move around... guess it worked)!

This second one is kind of a front shot of his whole body. Right now he is about 6 inches long and weighs 9 oz. TINY!

This last one was an attempt at a 3d picture. She said that because he is so little and does not weigh much (1/2 a lb) that it pretty much looks like a skeleton. In a few weeks we should be able to see a lot more! This shows you his head... you can kind of see his eye sockets and nose... the the circle to the right of his head is his tummy.

I am continually amazed at how much technology can do! To think this little guy is still only 1/2 way done growing before being born!

Keep saying prayers that he stays healthy! Be back with more as news develops!

It's a Boy!

We have a healthy baby boy... to be here in September!  I'm so excited to know... Momma, Bekah, and I are going shopping now that we know what we're shopping for!  I'll be back soon with pictures.

Introducing... the Griffin Family

Since our family is growing, I thought maybe this would be the best way to keep everyone up to date on the latest news!

Scott and I have a doctors appointment Wednesday for an ultrasound which will, with any luck, let us know if we are going to have a baby boy or baby girl Griffin coming in September! I keep telling Scott that if we have an uncooperative child who want's to be a suprise... it must take after him!

Hopefully I will be back Wednesday with news. Until then...
