I have (had) 2 cats which have been with me for several years... and they are my babies. To make room for the real baby, though, the cats had to be moved out. Italics has taken a love for the great outdoors... so he wasn't too bad. He has already spent several nights outdoors and is pretty happy. We haven't kicked him out completely yet... but hopefully that will go well. Spencer, on the other hand, is a big baby and is terrified of being outside. So my sister offered to take him home to stay with her.
Bekah came to pick him up this evening so he could go spend some time with her... the plan being that if all goes well and he gets along with her cat that he would stay there. Needless to say I cried... between my kitty leaving and the preganacy hormones I feel like I've actually given my child up.
Scott of course just thinks I'm crazy and doesn't understand. I know it's for the best and it's the right thing to do... but I miss my kitty. Now I'm down to one (rather dumb) cat... let's hope he learns that the road is really not the best place to nap.

Well you have 1 dumb cat, now I have 2... haha. They are being cute and pawing at each other, Spencer is under the bed and Charlie is on the outside. Spencer will be fine at least now you know he won't be miserable outside, and he will still have a playmate. You will just have to bring Sam over to visit :)
ReplyDeleteKnowing how truly dumb (but still with some sense) your cats tend to be...Spencer will probably just learn to stay on the front porch. That way he can trip you, Scott & Sam as you all rush out the door for the hospital for Sam's grande entrance!
ReplyDeleteScott will get over it...at least Spencer won't be inside anymore! That'd make me extremely happy if I was him. Plus you know that Italics will be just as happy & dumb as ever with Charlie & Bekah...until Bekah gets ready to have children! ;o)
Spencer is at my house, Italics stayed with Sarah. They are both equally dumb so they get along great! I think its actually been good for Charlie, they are cute playing together! :) Poor Italics is all alone... I think Ally needs to come over to Fitts St. for a play date outside!
